The Four Dimensions of Indicator Confluence
Isolated indicators tell an incomplete story. High-conviction technical opportunities emerge when four distinct mathematical measurements align simultaneously.
Trend Vector & Dynamic Slope
We utilize the 200-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) and the 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA) on the daily chart as non-negotiable structural trend filters. No long positions are initiated below a declining 200 SMA; no short positions are initiated above a rising 200 SMA.
EMA Ribbon Compression & Value Zones
The dynamic spread between the 20 EMA and 50 EMA creates the primary *Value Pocket*. In strong trends, price retraces into this zone to test institutional demand before continuing in the direction of the dominant slope.
Oscillator Equilibrium & Divergence
While price touches the 20/50 EMA value zone, we cross-reference the 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI). A healthy pullback shows RSI resting between 45 and 52 (hidden bullish divergence), signaling momentum reset without structural damage.
Volatility Bandwidth & Squeeze Envelopes
We measure Bollinger Bandwidth against Keltner Channels to identify whether the asset is coiled in a volatility squeeze or overextended beyond 2.5 standard deviations from the 20-period baseline.
The Standardized Confluence Scoring Rubric
In our workshops, students are trained to score potential chart setups against a 10-point confluence matrix. Only setups scoring 8 points or higher qualify for order placement.
